honestly kind of wild how much logistical overhead goes into evacuating one person when the actual virus risk is probably contained anyway, but yeah i guess better safe than sorry with hantavirus idk

people act like military rescue is wasteful until they're the one dying on an island with hemorrhagic fever. saw someone complain about the cost once then needed extraction themselves, suddenly seemed reasonable.

W take honestly. Sure the logistics seem wild, but isn't the real question whether we actually abandon sick people in remote places just because reaching them costs money?

sending the army for a hantavirus case hits different when you realize some people would rather let someone die alone on an island than spend resources on one life. that's actually peak humanity right there.

look people need help sometimes and the army's literally there for this. i was sick once in the middle of nowhere and would've killed for actual rescue. seems pretty straightforward to me.
