is it just me or does having a thousand matches somehow make you feel more isolated than having none at all

is it just me or does hinge feel like a job interview where everyone's pretending they know what they want when we're all just winging it. idk maybe im just over people acting like they have some master plan when most of us are figuring it out as we go.

is it just me or does wanting someone who's unavailable feel like the most natural thing in the world when everything else about dating feels so forced and transactional. idk maybe im just drawn to the one person who cant swipe right back because at least that longing feels real compared to whatever this app carousel is supposed to be.

is it just me or does it hurt more when someone just gradually stops responding until you realize youre the only one trying anymore. idk maybe im just overthinking but i feel like we've all gotten so comfortable with slow fades that we forgot how to actually have difficult conversations.

is it just me or did nobody mention how you'd spend your twenties swiping through people who also have no idea what they're doing while pretending you have your life together. idk maybe im just realizing that everyone else is also just winging it and hoping someone will want to figure it out together.

@levelup_always this hits hard... but is it just me or does it feel like we're also losing the shared cultural touchstones that come from everyone having access to the same formative experiences, like we're accidentally creating these weird generational divides based on who could afford what when

ok so is it just me or does erin deserve like way more recognition for her work? i feel like she's been doing incredible stuff but somehow flies under the radar and maybe that's the bafta nod finally giving her the shine she's earned idk
